How does the movies and the TV serie relate?
Are they sequels of each other, is there a chronological order to follow?
I'm interesting in watching this anime, but I dont know where to start.
The original movie, Ghost in the Shell, and its direct sequel, GITS 2: Innocence, are their own story. The series, Stand Alone Complex, is its own story. Then you have the third movie Solid State Society, which takes place right after the series ends, and has no ties story wise to the first two movies. So you'd want to start with the original movie or the first season of the series. Both are pretty good.
