Favorite/Best Scenes *SPOILERS AHEAD*
What do you think are some great/favorite scenes from Ghost in the Shell-SAC (both seasons, as well as from Solid State Society)? Here are some of mine.
1. My absolute favorite scene is probably in Episode 4 of 2nd Gig when Section 9 goes up against the Jigabachi helicopters. It's awesome how the Major holds down that one helicopter so Saito can put a hole through that dead pilot's head. I can only wonder how strong a prosthetic/cybernetic body can be! The music playing throughout the whole incident (called "Cyberbird") made the fight seem more suspenseful and exciting.
2. In episode 14 of 2nd gig(Poker Face) when Saito goes up against the Major in a shootout. Love the fact that she tricked Saito.
3. In episode 2 (Testation) of the first season: It's at the very end when the Major discovers what Kago really wanted to show his parents. I think she was seeing some of his memories? There are pictures flashing in the background, and I think it means that Kago wasn't going to kill his parents, but that he wanted to show them his new "prosthetic" body.
4. Episode 12 of the first season: When the little girl tells Batou's tachikoma the story of the dead goldfish, and later that she knew her dog Locky was dead. Probably the only scene in any anime I've ever watched that makes me tear up!
5. Episode 25 of the first season: When Batou shares that almost "intimate" scene with the Major at her safehouse(?). I really think this portrayed their characters well, and that they cared for each other, but couldn't have any relationship due to their line of work. At least, it looks to me like they want to be in a relationship, but it never goes any farther than "caring."
6. Episode 18 of 2nd gig: Occurs right at the end when Batou/the Major apprehend Angel's Feathers in front of AF's daughter. The girl asks Batou (thinking Batou is her father) "what is the angel planning to do today?" And he replies "the angel isn't planning to go anywhere." I think this proves how emotional (and possibly caring?) Batou can really be, and that he felt sorry for Angel's Feathers daughter. Motoko seems cold and harsh in this scene though.
Don't run with sharp objects.
Margeary is dreaming of horses.
