the tachikomas' sacrifice
I know this series attracts some people with an appreciation for artistry and direction, as well as clever dialogue, so I'd like to ask these people what they thought of the final episode of season 2. Hearing the tachikomas' debate overcoming the humanity of the majors decision. Even as machines they see how they wouldn't be able to completely save these refugees by uploading their ghosts to the net. Seeing the missile launch, then while all the humanity of Japan, the soldiers, the people, Batou and the major sit in wait below, you hear this singing start, and the think tanks coming together in cyberspace, SINGING in sentiment of their coming death, it was mind-blowing. Then to hear Proto say "You know something, I'm willing to bet each of you has a ghost." It was just perfectly structured and beautiful. Did it have an effect on any of you?
