Sin City, 300, and Avatar all owe it to Sky Captain. Get this guy a superhero gig or something. Make him remake Superman

Or at least get him work as a second unit director who does all the green-screen stuff. He seems to need the work.

It's an odd career - at least from the details in IMDb. Appeared from nowhere, wrote and directed a major movie, disappeared again.
There must be a heck of a backstory to apparently ballistic career trajectory.

It's the kind of throwback I like, the kind that was taken almost entirely seriously.
