Contrived and boring plot..

I really can't stand pseudo plots like these. It feels absolutely pointless following along with this woman's ordeal. It's a pity because there are some great scenes scattered here and there throughout the film but the bulk of the movie is contrived filler material. Tautou also has little to no command as an actress. She's just there letting the film pretty much play her role for her. She's just overall too bland. The editing is also somewhat ridiculous at points. The film is just trying to squeeze too much in without being over long, and it's pretty obvious. Many shots just last for a second or two, then it jump just straight ahead but in keeping with a somewhat slow pace. The movie plays somewhat uneven.
