Film's Title

I think it was Edward. Two quotes seem to apply:

"The shepherd drives the wolf from the sheep's for which the sheep thanks the shepherd as his liberator, while the wolf denounces him for the same act as the destroyer of liberty. Or:
John 10:11: "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep."

I think Edward did put his life on the line, both in physical risk and risk to his achievement of happiness.

I liked another quote from the movie, in which Wilson says "I have the United States of America. The rest of you are just visitors." I think that's a good estimation of how such men view the rest of us.

In other words, "The Good Shepherd" is also an ironic title.
