Was she a Russian spy? Who killed her?

I will do my best to get it started...
I thought Wilson seeing the hearing aid in the morning had some significance here. Perhaps it was actually a transmitter or a recorder? We see it again after she's killed, sitting in a cup of coffee or tea. That would destroy whatever had been recorded on it.
Plus, it appeared to me Wilson said something quietly to the lady and she seemed to hear him, thus showing she was not really deaf.
Thus, she was some kind of double agent, perhaps Soviet. The US and Soviets were competing for Nazi scientists, and it would be of use to them to know who the US was courting and what success they were having.
It also foreshadowed later situations in which Wilson would ruthlessly choose "The Company" over love. Plus the tragic echo of his real love for Laura, the deaf girl from his youth.

I think that's most of it, yeah; you got it.
Wilson realizes she can hear without the device, so he gets hyper-suspicious of her and has her whacked.
Now, with the teapot scene, I'm not 100% sure, but I think that was confirmation - like, it was her Soviet handler coming to pick up the device and found it ruined. But I thought he was the triggerman, so...maybe I just blinked and missed it.
But I think that the thematic point of the scene is that Wilson might be too paranoid. Consider the fact that, although he whispers, she still has one good ear and might have heard him, or possibly seen him moving in the mirror. While she is *highly* suspicious, I think it's to show that he's getting cautious, paranoid, wise, and foolish in the same breath. His psychology is compromised already.
This theme goes on throughout the film. It's hard to know who's actually betraying whom and why. That's the world of the spy...
