Who took the pictures of Edward sleeping with the deaf woman from his youth, and who then sent them to Edward's wife at the party? Thanks

I don't see the KGB doing it as they would have let the relationship go on until they could try to blackmail Edward.

No, it was probably his FBI friend, or else his CIA co-worker Hayes, or his CIA boss Allen. They wouldn't want to lose a valuable employee and were saying "Don't go down this road."

It was not the KGB. They would sent the photos to Wilson to try to blackmail him.
His FBI and CIA friends would not try to embarrass him publicly. My guess is the British agent Arch Cummings.

Nope. Probably DCI 'Phillip Allen'[played by William Hurt] the character based on real life Allen Dulles who appeared to suspect Edward Wilson was compiling or possessed a file re: Phillip squirreling away $$$$ in Switzerland.

The info may have later beeen used to buttress Phillip Allen being fired.
