What would have happened if he went back to Lisa?

What if Reuben would have been stupid enough to take her back, how would he had continue the marriage? Would he have rules made? Or just become a bitter, jealous man?
Even if by a slim chance she actually regrets cheating and never does it again, wouldn't the images of her and the French scuba diver stayed forever in his head?

What about if they were starting to restart intimacy start, wouldn't the images spoil everything?

I mean.... it's one thing to hear or discovered from someone else that you got cheated on but to ACTUALLY CATCH YOUR WIFE/MAN RIGHT IN THE ACT OF HAVING SEX WITH SOMEONE ELSE.... that's gotta be the worst pain of all.

So what you think his life would have been with her if he took her back?

Honestly, there would be no trust whatsoever. There are different circumstances under which people cheat. And it's never excusable, but it's at least somewhat understandable when it happens during a rough patch in the marriage, or when one person unintentionally falls in love with someone else and can't control themselves. This was not the case here - the skank cheated on him, with a guy she had just met not a few hours earlier, on their HONEYMOON. They were perfectly happy, and he was really good to her, and she still spread her legs for a stranger. It just shows her to have no character or integrity whatsoever - exactly as he said, "what kind of a cold-hearted bitch would do that?"
