Anyone know which individual killed the most people?

No one can be sure but it is believed Harold Shipman was the most prolific serial killer in history. He was a British doctor who killed at least 240 of his patients.

Gary Leon Ridgeway (The Green River Killer) was convicted of killing 48 women, but during interrogation he stated 71 and police authorities believe it may be as high as 90. AFAIK he's the USA's most prolific serial killer. Weird thing about it is that without the advances in forensics over the past 20 years, like the Zodiak Killer he never would have been caught.
