I noticed she has a Facebook page and it becomes apparent she didn't get rich off of her story because she mentions having to work "a lot" at her job she has.

One of the things I wasn't aware of, is I thought she worked steadily as a motel housekeeper (I've done that before and it isn't the easiest job to have) when she was with Aileen, but when you read stories on the Internet they say she was happy to let Aileen support her with the money she made from prostitution. I guess you don't too much hear this side of the story because in all the interviews I've seen it is Tyria telling her story, and she never says she primarily lived off of Aileen. Aileen isn't here to give her side.

Another reason may have been because I know that Tyra went back to Ohio to see her family several times and I just assumed she came up with the money herself for a bus ticket. Aileen could have paid for it, though, or even Tyra's family could have given her the money. I can't remember if they ever said.
