Where did he get the gun (spoiler)

At the end of the film when Talley takes walter hostage then releases him for his family, walter the starts mouthing off, then he has a gun in his hand and shoots the guy in the head.

where did he get the gun from?

When they're driving to meet the masked men Talley puts a gun down on the dashboard and the camera looks at it, as does Smith. My guess is he took it.

Talley actually put two guns down while they were driving there. Clearly, they each took one. I guess they figured that the bad guys were going to kill them both. And Walter probably felt he owed Talley for saving his kids, so he returned the debt by getting close to the first bad guy and taking him out.

That's the way I saw it. They planned every thing out in the ambulance off-screen.
