To set the record straight

Junkies actually ripped off Prophets. (facts) WGA writers guild. Pool hall Prophets was written 18 months before Junkies. The company that bought prophets lost the option after one year and fast tracked junkies, which payed the price when it tanked at the box office. as for the authenticity of the film. i saw it at a test screening here in l.a. Prinze Jr. can play. They have no CGI in the film and you see the kid make some nasty shots. Prinze had been involved in the film for seven years. he cast, produced and co-financed the film. He trained with Ileen Pippen(sp) former world ranked women's player. Judge for yourself. I saw the flick which had no music yet but the chemical brothers are scoring it. It is cool, more a who's screwing who flick than a thriller but it is cool. FYI

poolhall junkies was actually written 10 years before it was made. Mars originally was gonna play the younger brother.

Freddy Prinze, Jr. can play? What, because he got some lessons from Aileen Pippen? I'm willing to bet that Conrad is ignorant to what good pool and a good pool player is. Either that, or Conrad has a deep seeded reason to make Prinze, Jr. appear in the best light possible.

I don't doubt that perhaps Prinze, Jr. has some ability but unless he's been playing for years (which I doubt it), he's someone that was average at best and took lessons were just to make it seem as though he were better for the movie.

One thing that initially turned me off of this movie. Prinze, Jr. explains how to play nine ball. God, could it be made to sound any worse? *rolleyes*

I love pool so I watched it, but, *sigh*, it's crap like this helps pool stay unpopular.

If you think Prinze can play, you're crazy! He's average and that's about it. He doesn't do anything special in the movie. As far as I say, he's got the '7 out' all day!
