as charles barkley would say...terrrible

watched this on a whim through netflix, i wasn't expecting much but i ended up getting something really bad. ben affleck is such a bad actor save for a few performances (jay and silent bob strike back and the town), he should really just stick behind the camera. also uma thurman was uncharacteristically bad in this, the whole ending sequence between her and ben was awful, but you could chalk that up to bad writing.

the high points in this movie were giamatti and eckhart. the first scene with eckhart and affleck was great because it was immediately apparent how much of a better actor eckhart is.

the one thing that really bothered me in the film was how they portrayed seattle, and yeah i know it took place in a supposed futuristic seattle although ben's buss pass had the date of 2007 (so not really the future anymore) but there is no subway system in seattle or a bus mass transit that looks like that. That may be a small gripe but being from there I wish they had portrayed it in a way where it actually looked realistic.

Yeah that transit center was pretty stupid.
