The Opening Scene: Holographic Display
The execs. make a big deal out of it when Jennings presents his display that dosen't require a monitor. But in the opening credits we see him using a 3D holographic interface. wat?

shareYou got me there. I have no idea why they showed something stupid like that.
Welcome to my Nightmare- Freddy Krueger
The 3D projector he used in the beginning when disassembling the computer was huge and quite likely ran off a room of supercomputers.
They were impressed with his fancy 3D projector because it was a tiny laptop and didn't require likely millions of $$$ worth of computer equipment.
This is actually a great point.
Perhaps it was the small size and portability of the useless '3D-gimmick' that was considered so impressive.
I mean, maybe you need a big room, fixed-in-place type, somewhat monochromatic projectors to create the holograms he uses, but a portable in-color, tiny hologram is more.. aagh..
..yeah. No, I can't defend it, this movie is just stupid.
