Goofs and plotholes, just like any other movies

I like this movie but what I noticed after watching again is how the bullet was able to fire and destroy the machine. Yes, I know the bullet hit the Nitrox coolant setting off everything. When a bullet travels through the barrel of a gun, it spins clockwise so it can fly straight because the barrel is designed to do so. Michael strapped the bullet to the side of a rod and it just went off when a it snaps against another rod. It wasn't like the bullet had far to travel to hit the coolant but still a spinning bullet will create greater spin and velocity to create more damage against something as thick as a giant coolant tank. Bullets now are made to shatter when it hits metal anyway so it doesn't bounce back and kill the person firing. Cops have died by their own guns like this until they changed it. But in movies you always see them shoot coolants and propane tanks for some cool action and explosions. Movies like to show bullets on a bulletproof vest on the hero as well. Mythbusters should do something there or did already. I don't watch the show.

I want to know why Michael can't remember Rachel, since the first marker was injected after he had already met her.

Also, why was it so important that Michael was supposed to die? Aside from the future predicting it, did Jimmy actually want him dead? His memory was wiped, so I don't really get what good it would do with him being alive.

Finally, does Jimmy know what Michael surrendered his shares? Just wondering about that one.

Yep, those are good points.

But in the original story the point is that because of the 'trinkets', he actually figures out what's going on, so in this movie, that would mean that he becomes a liability that must be erased, because he doesn't want to go along with the corporation's plans (in the short story it's completely opposite!)

This movie does not have plotholes, like any other movies - it has WIDE SUPER-CAVES, that Colossus could walk in without bending or watching his head.

Some movies have 'acceptable' plotholes, some movies have 'not-too-serious' plotholes. This movie has RIDICULOUS, completely disturbing and plot-destroying plotholes.

He was not allowed to leave the premises. And yet he SENT himself things. He didn't order them, he didn't ask anyone else to send them, -he-sent-them- and made restaurant reservations. This movie destroys its own logic.

I could go on, but I am tired..

Haha. As far as the restaurant one though, didn't he reserve them for a date after he was done with his project? I mean technically he did, and I believe he was allowed to leave the campus after he finished, correct?

In the end, there is 3 years of story we know nothing about. All we know is he made the timemachine, saw what he saw and made himself get an envelope.

Since most people calling plotholes assume stuff, why not assume he got his bosses to allow him to go offcampus, have phonecalls, order stuff in, or whatever..?
