The original Die Hard is overrated trash

Let’s be honest, Hans Gruber’s motivation is so lazy and weak. Why did he need that many terrorist henchman with him to rob from some boring plaza building that nobody cares about? They needed that many guns? The plot doesn’t add up.

Alan Rickman can’t even do a German accent convincingly and he’s as menacing as a chest cold.

It’s not even original, this whole setting an action movie around Christmas time had been done before and done better.

Black characters only exist to help push the plot along and it’s so contrived.

Bruce Willis somehow single handedly takes down like 12 bad guys who have more weaponry than the German army. Why are some of these men so muscular and combat trained? No reason, just because the director is a juvenile moron.

There is zero female eye candy, it’s a complete sausage fest from the get go and is about as sexy as a trip through a cancer ward. How exciting.

The only memorable scene is Hans falling from the building at the end which is nicely done, but at that point it’s too late.

Live free or Die Hard is a vastly better movie, case closed.
