things I noticed that bugged me

Overall it was an ok 'shut your brain off' movie, but a few things jumped out at me:

1# Why did Jason Statham (Ethan) use a hammer on the phone? Seems stupid, id just rip it off the wall and take it with me, and also cut the wire in case there is another phone in an old box in the attic.... And id tie her to hands and tie her down ro something so she cant try anything.

2# When Chris Evans (Ryan) first goes to the school why did he not scream out the kids name? At least when they were outside? The kid was so close he would of heard him.

3# When Chris Evans (Ryan) is at the police station and goes up the stairs he stops. He says he cannot go further because the signal, so he turns around??? Why not put the cellphone down and go up stairs?

4# Why not call the cops? The entire event seemed to have happens over the course of at least 5 hours, if not closer to 7-8 hours. He could have spent a bit of more time trying to get cops involved instead of trying to do everything himself?

5# Why keep the video of the dirty cops? Either make it public or delete it and get rid of the camera.

1- because without it there was no movie.
The hammer is also used to scare her.

2- I suppose because he didn't want the cops to know he was looking for the kids too, he was trying to be somewhat discrete.

3- That's a fair question. I assume he didn't think about it (it was kind of a crazy situation for him). Though going at it alone seems unrealistic unless you're looking at standard Statham character..

4- Yup agreed, that made no sense. Though it turned out for the best seeing who he was supposed to talk to at the station.

5- It's a trading chip, if he makes it public, he has nothing left to trade with and so family is as good as dead. Deleting it is the same. Going to meet them with the 2 copies was the mistake though.
