The lawyer was so freakin' funny!!

The lawyer was so funny "Jessica, Jessica!" "A) shut up!" "what the hell is you problem man, what the hell is your problem, you wanna tussle? Oh snaps." Lmao...that whole scene was freakin funny. And the woman listening to rap music I was like wtf?! Lmao.

Well, he's funny if you like laughing at ostentatious, arrogant dickheads who think their value is how much they get paid per hour, who are so full of themselves that they argue with a carjacker at gunpoint, who believe they are s-o-o-o-o superior that they don't have to pay impound fees...

The movie had too many cliché characters, unfortunately - the cellular store staff were just a "touch" too much all of the same mould, for instance, the bad guys were tough, silent muscleheads, Ryan and his friend were airhead hedonist frat boys, the ex-gf & her friends were dolly-birds Standing For a Cause... and so on.

Don't think they were gunning for an Oscar, here.

Gotta agree with the OP here...That guy was a riot! And I love JS as a bad guy; he was eeeeeeeevil. I didn't rent the movie expecting Oscar-winning material, just a lot of fun. Pull that stick out of your a$$, have a seat and a bucket of popcorn, guys, and just enjoy a movie!!

The 2 people in this thread that disagreed about him being funny are really thick headed. Those were the reasons he was funny.

Agreed with heat8488 & whippetchick, he was hilarious in here!

He played a similar character on an episode of leverage, also produced by Dean Devlin.

And in Hostel and The Day After Tomorrow.

I liked how he said his car was a "panty remover", then we find out he is on the phone with his Mother.

Yeah, but - what about "Suits" (2011, the TV show)?! It's Rick Hoffman that we're talking about... He's been having some (gr8) funny roles, as of late!..

& ugh, his movie-list seems kinda short (?!); idk. what's up w/that? o.0

He's listed in Lethal Weapon 4 (1998), as "Police Officer at Port" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0122151/fullcredits), just noticed it, btw. Just, I've no idea why the list of movies - with his name on it - isn't that long?.. Somehow, I'd think that there would've been (some) moar?! :-0
