I can't stand it.

I can't stand watching this kid from scene to scene looking exactly the same, shaven, clean, with his hair neatly combed over, as if he wasn't poor, sleeping in the dirt and going through different climates. I doubt the actor or director has ever hitchhiked or backpacked ever. And whats with the overkill of bromance? There's like 17 hugs and gazes into one's eyes in the first ten minutes.

The book was great but I'm giving up on this movie. Its a disjointed translation. It even bothers me that they changed the catalyst of his trip from his divorce to his father dying. And WHY is Dean so damn serious!? Dean was supposed to be a maniac. Actors read the book its like 200 pages!

The only thing that survives the book is the pretentiousness. Pitty

I haven't seen this because I was pretty sure it would be bad...but they probably changed the impetus for his initial trip to his father's death because that's what it was in Kerouac's original draft. The publisher made changes and cuts. The original draft has been published in paperback.

youre hilarious. Nice. Its sad. To read the book and then to see this. Its just sad. I give them props for attempting but, just the same. Smh.

And to think that some people hail this as a worthy addition or side piece!? Insanity.
