Huge fan of the book but I never even heard of this film until now. Then I look at the cast and director. Then I read the trivia section. Every proposed/suggested/rumoured casting and directing "could've beens" mentioned in the trivia section would've been phenomenal, or at least make me want to see the film. Kristen Stewart?! Pass. I have about as much interest in seeing this as I do in seeing "Bronx Bull". And that would be a big fat zero.

It's a flawed attempt by salles but i love this movie watch it every so often. I love hedlund and rileys chemistry. I love the soundtrack. I live this movie.
So you're judging a book by its cover, so to speak. That's unfortunate, as Stewart has given some great performances. To defend her Twilight career, everyone has to start somewhere. And those films catapulted her into stardom. She was great in Still Alice and Clouds of Sils Maria, and really good in this film as well.
shareThat's sad, because you are missing out on a film that is incredible in every way. Also a huge Kerouac fan, i have seen this film at least 30 times. It is hypnotic.

What? The film is awful and the cast wooden and boring. Garrett Hedlund who plays Dean Moriarty.. LOL, worst casting choice ever, he can't act.
Avoid this movie at all costs, read the book instead.
