I watched this movie totally on a whim and was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Are there any other films similar to this one that anyone can recommend?

It reminded me of The Red Violin - although that movie takes place in current times, flashing back to the item's history over the years. It's another wonderful, engrossing movie.
