Did anyone else catch this inconsistency in Bourke's story?

When Dr. Phil was interrogating him about why he didn't go downstairs after his mom or police officer came into his room, Bourke at first said because he isn't the worrying kind. He then switched it to saying he was scared.

reply

Exactly!! If my mom was hysterical, i would've gone running to see what was wrong.

reply

I am the mom of four ages 11- 26 years. No way any of them would have stayed in their rooms with all that commotion downstairs, even if they were TOLD to stay in their rooms - I know they'd want to sneak a peek....Unless they knew they were in serious trouble for some reason.

Cheers!

reply

Exactly what my fiancé said. She has three ages 8-14. So we're supposed to believe if he didn't do or know anything about what happened he just decided on his own to stay put in the room? If he did stay there it was because he was told he had to and it was very important that he do so.

I said it twenty years ago and the CBS two part special that just aired Sunday and last night sealed it for me...he did it. People say "how did he carry her down the stairs and tie the garrote, etc?" Mmmmm....because he didn't, his parent(s) did to cover-up for him. Who would be the only person parents would go to the extremes they have....spending probably millions on lawyers and PR firms? Your own child.

The videos of him as a kid are freaky. No emotion. Just talks about it like a pet goldfish dying. And when asked about secrets he just smiled away....and used the same "I don't recall" line his parents did when questioned formally. Well coached.

kids who play with fecal matter are not normal.

reply

So true and a scientific fact.

reply

I so wish I had seen the Dr Phil episode. And that wasn't a "coincidence" or to honor her memory. The family was contacted by the CBS team so they knew their special was airing.

I went back through some old posts here and the people that say anyone that believes the parents are guilty are idiots as the "new" DNA evidence exonerates them sound really stupid as that theory that this touch DNA exonerates them has been proven false. They'll never be a match as it could literally be anyone. When you can take a brand new pair of undies out a package and find DNA you know that's bogus.

If the only hope for answers lies with Burke, well we know the answer. Like the mom, it's going to the grave.

Agreed...they have been bullying the DA since it happened. Hence the 99 Grand Jury INDICTMENT and refusal to go through with said charges. And with the next DA, the woman.

The biggest thing I took away from the CBS special was the Grand Jury basically did not indict the parents for murder....but for the cover-up. In sum, the real killer was too young to be indicted/charged because he/she was beyond the scope of the law due to age. Burke did it. It's the only sensible explanation to all this nonsense.

Hopefully Patsy died a slow and painful death, and hopefully the same happens to the remaining murderer and his accomplice. Justice will then be served.

reply

The Ramseys were supposedly a religious family, so I wonder if Patsy, on her deathbed, confessed or begged the Lord's forgiveness for her crimes. Even if she didn't make a final statement, in the time leading up to her death (months, weeks, days), did she ever seek forgiveness through prayer or whatever (I'm imagining she never confessed to a clergyperson).

reply

She took that to her grave and so will john. Burke is the only one who will tell the truth and if John out lives him then the truth will never be revealed.

His father protected him so he is going to return the favor as long as his father is alive.

reply

He was a child at the time and may not be remembering everything accurately. He probably doesn't relive it 24/7. No matter what he does/doesn't say won't be right for some.
