Nothing suspicious about Burke's behavior

A lot of people smile when they're nervous and he had every reason to be nervous and uncomfortable. He was being interviewed on national television for the first time by a persecutory Dr. Phil and he had to talk about a traumatic experience that people suspect him of being responsible for. It's scary that there are people sitting on juries that think they can determine someone's guilt by 'weird' or 'creepy' behavior or because they can 'see it in his eyes'. You'd think people would have evolved beyond that by now.

reply

I agree with you. I feel bad for Burke. I don't think he had anything to do with it....

reply

I agree but his behavior is just weird, although it's not a big surprise coming from this family. Every interview they've done has been quite bizarre. Its almost as if they enjoy the media attention.

Juries should be careful about factoring in a defendant's behavior when deciding guilt or innocence. There have been plenty of cases of miscarriage of justice because the jury "didn't like" a defendant.

However, I'm not in court now, and Burke Ramsey is a freakazoid. I'm not suggesting he is guilty of a heinous crime because of his Dr. Phil appearance though. Nevertheless, there is a difference between "smiling when nervous" and Burke's consistently disturbing affect when speaking of the events surrounding his sister's murder. This goes back decades, since his first interview with a shrink.

Aw, poor little rich boy... who is pushing 30 years old. There is nothing normal about him.

especially the ones who played with poop when they were 9.

reply

Yep! That is an act of a deeply disturbed preadolescent.

Scatalogical issues can indicate sexual or physical abuse.

reply

You mean the uppity sing-song voice? I sometimes do that when talking about something very upsetting while also trying to keep the corners of my mouth upturned. It's to keep from crying. It's very wrong to judge someone as a 'freakazoid' based on something so silly and when you know next to nothing about them. There's no such thing as 'normal'. Everyone has different coping mechanisms and styles of speaking and communicating. I'm sure you have traits that make you seem like a 'freak' to others. Don't be so persecutory and judgmental.

reply

Nope, wasn't talking about the sing-song voice either.

reply

Exactly

Body language is very telling and almost impossible to hide. The tapes of the child Burke being questioned makes it so obvious he at least knew what happened to JBR, but also that he may have done it.

His behavior has been in question since the murder & perhaps before. This is no different. He looks like a sociopath.

Dr. Phil always asks people to take polygraph tests. Why didn't Burke or John take one? Were they even asked? I'm going to assume they want nothing to do with taking one for obvious reasons.

And he shows classic signs of lying.
