Shelley Duvall
I was on the fence about this episode.
The pro about it was that it sheds light on mental disorders and anyone, rich or poor, famous or not, can suffer from them.
The con: it felt as though Dr. Phil was exploiting Ms. Duvall for ratings.
I thought it would have been better to just inform people about the effects of mental illnesses. I'm sure most people know that these illnesses are an equal opportunity attacker.
I know it's been 'taboo' to admit suffering from it. And, exposing this can help others that are suffering feel like they aren't alone.
After I watched Ms. Duvall for about 10 minutes, I was leaning a lot toward her suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia.
I just wished Dr. Phil would have waited a bit
longer.
I don't think Ms. Duvall was competent enough
to consent to this interview.
I hope she does get better.
I love 'The Shining" and "Mother Goose Rockin' Rhyme".
