Fat 24 y/o steals from family

I was watching this episode where a fat 24 y/o who lives with mommy and daddy and has stolen 15,000+ dollars from her family.

I always appreciate when Dr Phil plugs his products or another person's products.

Sure, she could benefit from weight loss... but what does that have to do with theft and fraud?

His appeal and relevance is diminishing by the day.

Isn't it grand larcency if you steal $10,000 and over?
She admitted to stealing. Why is she not in jail? It might have straightened her up if her dad nipped it in the bud the 1st time she called CPS.
Covering for someone in the wrong only reinforces her back behavior.
