Stop Creating Sentences!!!

For the love of God, or puppies, or peanut butter Snickers bars, please stop with the selective editing to create the sentences you wish the guests and/or Dr. Phil said! Enough already. Sheesh.

And you're not even that good at it!

Are you talking about the teasers that try to get you to watch? I do think this speaks badly for the show when you realize how things were manipulated to create the wrong impression.

But if you're saying they are editing the actual episodes in an inappropriate way, I haven't noticed. This would be even worse, in my opinion.

It mostly occurs during the recorded segments of the guests, usually at the beginning of the show, but also when they are going to go to or have just come back from a commercial break, and in those cases it's with the guests' comments, and it's rife.

But, in addition to that, it sometimes happens during the onstage part, and with Dr. Phil's words, but only when the camera is not on him, of course.

When they do it, it's impossible to know if they are creating new sentences from segments of others, or if they are omitting parts of a sentence and it creates a near smash up with the words where they splice it. Either way, though, it's getting VERY annoying.

It bugs me so much because it's as if they are being dishonest, creating sentences that have more impact. I don't know if they've ever done it to the point of creating a statement that is dishonest, exactly, but it would still be nice to hear the words spoken by the guests, and by doctor Phil, AS THEY WERE SPOKEN.

I see what you mean. I will definitely pay more attention.

Thanks

That's a double edged sword. You may notice it more, but it might aggravate you more, too. LOL.
