that the actress starring opposite of lalaine, [hilary duff] has done a quite a few music videos for disney channel way before lalaine got any recognition of her singing?

gah that was wordy... basically, i had not a clue that she sang at all, and i knew that hilary could from the few music videos. i found out after seeing "you wish" that she sang, and not just that, she sang a song for the movie too! when i looked into it more, i was blown away by how well lalaine can sing. when i told people i knew, they didnt know she could sing at all. all the while, i flip on the tv and there is hillary duff making another music video... on mtv!!

i mean, kudos for hilary, i'm not trying to bash her, but all i'm trying to say is that lalaine can sing soo well, and (i dont fear for saying this) she can sing better then hilary, yet lalaine hasnt gotten any recognition, not one music video, and yes shes releasing a album, but so is hilary duff and guess whos getting all the promotions and attention?

it just bothers me. alot. does anyone else feel this way? i'm not trying to completly rip on hilary (even though i am not too fond of her) but seeing the situations, i just have to wonder. does anyone else feel the same way?

It does bother me sometimes that Lalaine doesn't get the recognition she deserves, at least in my opinion. She is an awesome singer and yet a lot of people outside of her fans don't even know that she sings.

It doesn't matter to me what Hilary does so much, I'm only concerned that when Lalaine releases her new music album this summer people are going to think she's just trying to copy off Hilary's success when that's not even remotely true. Lalaine has been singing at a professional level for most of her life and I hope that people will look beyond her being just another Lizzie McGuire girl trying to do the crossover thing, and appreciate her for her talent.

i still haven't heard her sing, but i just found out today that she sung by looking at disney movie soundtracks. it seems like the really good singers are being overshadowed by their co-stars...like Anneliese Van der Pol and Raven. Raven has a cd coming out (i think) but Anneliese is way better than Raven. (In my opinion at least.)

Yeah Anneliese Van der Pol is great, I love her song "Over It" from "Stuck in the Suburbs". I think it's a main character thing. The stars get more attention than the supporting players, even if they're equally talented. I for one am a HUGE Hilary fan, but i think it'd be awesome to see Lalaine get some more recognition. And Anneliese.
