If they had just gone with the 'hint' from batman returns where she is looking up at the sky and kept with that storyline it actually would not have mattered re ethnicity

They botched the whole thing by changing everything around. Ruined chance to make money.

It was basically designed by someone with creepy BDSM fantasies about Catwoman and Halle Berry. It was probably the only memorable thing about this entire dumpster fire of a film.

Not that she ever really left, but Halle Berry's starpower was big around the time this movie came out. She won an Oscar and just played a Bond girl. And people could not get enough of her body. She looks great even now but back at this time, she looked like dynamite.

Gotta say, as a costume for an alternate Catwoman I don't have a problem with it. There was so much wrong with this movie, but how Berry looked wasn't part of it IMO.

There was plenty bad about the movie, but the costume was absolutely not the problem.
