What is the exact address of the farmhouse?
Does anyone know? I don't intend on trespassing! I would just like to take a harmless picture from the road if it's not too far from where I live.
Thanks so much!

... Sorry to let you down but, it's fictional.
shareI disagree. I live in south central Texas and there are literally dozens(or more) of similar type houses scattered all over this part of the state. The one used in the movie was probably found by location scouts and rented/leased for the duration of the filming.

According to the director's commentary it was a real house which they rented for the film. The tower was added and the house was made to look run-down. The homeowners gasped when they saw it, but of course it was later returned to its prior condition. The other posters are correct that no interiors were shot at the house.
shareYes it is a real house located near Cele, Tx (next to Pflugerville/Round Rock/Hutto) The BBQ scene was filmed at the Cele General Store where on Thurs night, Fri night and Sat lunch you can get some good BBQ. My favorite is their ribs. They're the best! Back to the house...I know it's a real house because my son goes to school with one of the kids from the family that owns it.
shareDon't know the exact addy, but my cuz teaches at a private school in Austin, TX, and her principal owned that house. The filmmakers told him, "Let us use it, and when we're done, let us know what you want done--& we'll do it."
"Be sure you're right, then go ahead."
