What is it all about ? All i know is that a girl called xxx in the past opened the box and got tears of something.
What exactly will happen if lara opened that box in the cave ?
Pandora was a the first woman according to greek mythology, Pandora opened a container releasing all the miseries of mankind—greed, vanity, slander, envy, pining—leaving only hope inside. Therefor Pandora's Box. And according to it, Pandora cried black acid after opening it.
If Lara had opened the box, she might have unleashed a disease so deadly to mankind, most part of the world would have died, and like Reiss said in the movie there would not be any antidote...

shareI don't get it...I am familiar with the Pandora myth, but shouldn't Lara WANT to open the box? If Pandora already released all the world's evils, hope still remains in the box. Therefore, if Lara opened the box, wouldn't some sort of "world peace" come of it?

shareObviously i wasn't the only one watching this last night. I think the problem is that we are looking for too much from what is a disposable movie. Though someone else said, by letting hope escape from the box it wouldn't give it to the world but it would in fact be lost. Therefore letting Hope out would lose the one thing that lets man deal with the crap in the world.
