watching latest action adventures made me realise

Watching latest action adventures like Indiana Jones 4 and Mummy 3 made me realise that TR2 was a great movie.

The latest Indiana Jones movie had to add aliens to impress audiences. It wasn't bad but I never really thought the series was as good. It was the tomb raider of another time. Of course it set the game but the ones that make the rules don't always play the best.

And mummy 3. Well, more or less it was smt like a cartoon movie... from the story to the dialogues. It was not even a bit scary like the 2 films before it. For Gods shake we are talking about MUMMIES they are supposed to be scary from their nature.

I disagree about Indiana Jones. It might not have been as good as the last three, but it has a lot more class and spectacle than both Tomb Raider films combined. It makes them look downright direct-to-video in comparison.

Mummy 3 is about equal with TR 2, both entertainment-wise and quality-wise. It has better fight scenes than Tomb Raider, but on the whole they are about dead-even.

There are only two good Indiana Jones movies (and I'm a fan) the first and the third. And let me tell you that were they released nowadays with better effects people would have them in the same category as the mummy films...

The latest Indiana Jones movie was more of a Disney adventure than ever before. I liked it, I own it on DVD and bought everything that was released now with the film (books and magazines) but it wasn't good. It was the come back of our hero that got people to go and see it and Steven's name.

And how can you put this animation (mummy 3) in the same place as Tomb Raider. It is only fun and nothing else. No story, no acting, not good effects, no smart dialogues... TR 2 was def an Indiana Jones adventure. He could have done it. It had a great story, locations, little effects, great dialogue and great action (maybe less than what it should) and tension and drama!

If it wasn't released in between all these huge movies it would have done much, much better!

wow, IJ4 is actually a good reason to give those movies another chance!

I'm sure they will be surprisingly good after that disaster
