Hated the Ending **Spoilers**

Post has SPOILERS:

I almost could have liked this movie. But that ending really sucked. And what sucked was they should have left it with Simon and his brother talking. When they tacked on the extra last hospital scene, it just kind of ruined it. As it is, I thought the movie felt very choppy and unfinished. Kind of like it wants to be a time travel or a Jacob's Ladder, but it can't make up its mind. I really don't like the whole uneven feeling of the writing. Does anyone know if there are deleted scenes? Maybe it would make more sense with that.

I dont agree. This movie wasnt trying to be anything, it was a great movie. Any movie can be better, I thought that the cast worked well together, and especially Ryan Phillippe. He did a great job with playing an amnesiac.

I could'nt agree more with both of you.
These were my exact thoughts when I finished watching.
It could and should have been a great movie, but it feels unfinished.
Still worth watching, tho.

So..the guy was dead and wasn't realising it?? 'Cause I didn't quite get it..All the time travelling was very...confusing

But, was he time travelling ? ...maybe each time we went back was actually one more post-mortem second, also one more chance for him to fix the puzzle of his real life...

I liked the end. Simon "awoke" again because he can't accept his nor his brother's death. He's in purgatory.

Exactly. I thought it was pretty clear, but it seems many viewers didn't get it.

I thought the ending was alright when my roomate explained it to me she told me that Ryan Philipe basically is a ghost who can't let go of what he did (banged his brothers fiance and got them both and himself killed)

His brother visits him in the end tells him to let go and that he is in fact that and not try to go back and change it again, Ryan Philipe has given his brother the same bottle of wine three times prior as you can see when his brother places it with the rest of the winebottles.

But he still can't accept what he did and again he wakes up in 2002 (his death occured in 2000 at the time 20:02 not a coincidence).

My roomie explained all this much better than me but hopefully you grasp the full picture.

I'd probably rather have seen it end with it being explained that he had gone insane from not accepting what he's done and it got so bad he tried to manipulate his own memory, but the way it ended was okay too.

I however prefer this ending to for instance him being a timetraveller.
