I know what u mean. Does it annoy anyone else the way MK and Ash always seem to hire people who aren't actually that nationality to play the part. I mean they're American however in Winning London they have someone who's Australian playing the role of a British kid. Why not just get someone who's actually British? The same wiv like the entire cast of When in Rome.

reply

Yeah it was so annoying! and why didn't the kid from Tokyo have an accent?? I did notice that the "British" guy had an Australian accent. That just seems really stupid.

I'm convinced that Hilary Duff has dentures.

reply

The girl who played Heidi is Italian I think... she tried hard to sound German but really, she didn't. But I thought it was funny rather than annoying :)

reply

The girl playing Heidi really is German.

reply

Mh, I'm pretty sure that she's Italian, Valentina Mattolini is not exactly a German name... I know what a German accent sounds like, I am German myself... and I've never heard anybody from here speak English like that ;)

I thougt that it was just me who felt this way.

well my cuzin haz the dvd and i watched the bonus features with her and Valentina (Heidi) i can really remember but i think she sed that she was german...i'm not sure i'll hav to check again.

reply

The girl who played Heidi is actually French. She says so in the DVD special features. You can tell she's french by the way she says the word "curious", when she and Layla are fighting over listening to the cd. I wonder why her character couldn't be french though. Then she wouldn't have had to attempt a different accent.

reply

no complaining about billy kennedy! and yeah, the english guy sounds really australian. i'm english and people complain that i sound australian but i'm nowhere near that bad! still, the accents are more amusing than annoying.

orlando bloom is a hotty

I totally agree on that "Heidi" girl. Her accent was terrible. It never sounded German at all. Maybe Russian, but not German. Besides, Heidi might be a German name, but nobody under 60 actually has this name anymore. That was kind of ridiculous. :(

reply

um well heidi klum and i know like 2 heidis...

reply

That isnt true my cousins name is Heidi and she's THIRTEEN. And do you guys realise what your complaining about? ACCENTS!! I would understand if you complained about the acting or somthing like that but you are complianing about accents! did you need something to complain about and couldn't find anything else so you decided to complain about somthing so ridiculous as accents? If your going to complain complain about something worthwhile.

reply

I found that half the time I couldn't understand what they were saying - they just didn't enunciate the words enough... That might just be me though. Overall, the accents were terrible and unrealistic anyway. Not all of them, but most.

reply

I think it sounds like someone trying to send up an Aussie accent rather than the actual Australian accent (I'm Australian and no-one really talks like Croc Dundee)

reply

Actually, besides the adults, Mk, and Ash, and Archie and the guy who played Ryan, the rest are all Italian. Paolo, Valentina, Dari.

I though Derek was Australian too until I saw his profile tonight on this website.

Same here.

What does he really sound like? Why would he try to fake an Aussie accent?
Although it doesn't really matter to me if he sounded aussie or british.... being an american I absolutely adore both accents! :)

reply

AGREED. THE ACCENTS WERE SO ANNOYING!
