Fastlane and production company questions

This has a few different questions- when I get my money I was wanting to open a few production companies- after getting a pamphlet in the mail with the new cable line up I realized there are many television stations already out there. Should I just start one or two and purchase a few others- I will not be the sole owner as I will have my kids and a few other people as owners of various stations.
I have been thinking that I should start one- purchase a couple more and make drastic changes. A few shows I would like to purchase are: Fastlane- Six Degrees- Will Traveler- Clerks- and The Smurfs. I have a few good ideas for other shows and have time slots empty on my rough draft of a line up. Would you purchase already existing stations(production companies) or would you start your own or both?
I was thinking to attempt to get a station like BET and have something like the soap opera station- BET Drama or BET Parental Guidance Suggested or something like that. I have many actors and actresses in mind for shows or soap operas and can't decide about the production companies- I have a few months to make up my mind and want input from others.
Second question- has Fastlane been off the air to long to make a comeback?
I personally feel that with the right actors and actresses stations could become successful but there are many out there.
