'I should've known when you let the fire come?'


What did Margaret mean by this? Was there an incident in Carrie's childhood involving telekinesis & fire, or was it a biblical metaphor/reference?

That's what I thought. I've just always thought it was strange that she said "fire" and not "stones" (in the novel, when she's being dragged into her closet, Carrie says, "I'll make the stones come again, Momma").
