The gym was actually burned down in real life. It was a school that had closed here. The name of the school was West Whalley Secondary in Surrey BC.
shareUmmmmm no. While you have the right sort-of right (it was West Whalley Junior Secondary), the school was demolished in August 2002. There's no mention of it burning in Surrey's school history, and the burn-down in the film was clearly CGI. If I'm wrong, please cite.
