Just started season one!

So far so good, i'm a big American Horror Story fan so quite like the themes, story etc of Carnivale. I read up about it before I purchased and after three episodes i'm really gutted that HBO cancelled this! I think the issue is that it was way before it's time and if released circa 2009 - present it would be still running as everyone loves the strange and wonderful at the moment! I really do wish that HBO would admit it was wrong to cancel this show!

I've just started watching it. I did see a few episodes here and there when it was still on the air but I've decided to watch the entire series online. The set designers did a fantastic job.

I've also just started. I've watched about 8 episodes.
My fav character is Samson. He's pretty funny.
I always enjoy watching Mr Krabs/Byron Hadley as well.
Cool opening credits and Sofie's mom is creep-o.

If you're gutted now, wait till the season 2 cliffhanger that is never resolved.

I was hesitant to watch this show because I'd heard it was cancelled too early and with a lot of story left to tell. But my curiosity won out, and now I've watched half of the first season.
After episode six, I wondered: HOW did this get cancelled after two seasons, but True Blood got seven? I watched only the first season of True Blood (and although it was kind of entertaining, knew it was of 'guilty pleasure' category') but didn't care to come back past season 1. And from what I understand, even the loyal fans have been fed up with TB.
I know they're different shows with different ideas and genres, but Carnivale had characters I'm interested in, intrigued with. True Blood? Not so much.

HBO expected Sopranos level ratings after that show took off.
