Not what I expected...at all

Ever since Breaking Bad ended I've been looking for another show to watch, but couldn't find anything close in quality. I watched Oz on HBO Go, but as the seasons went on it became increasingly stupid. I also started watching The Walking Dead, but found it too corny and predictable for my liking. So about a month ago I'm snooping around and decide to start up on Carnivale, despite having not heard a single thing about the show.

Just finished it last night, and all I can say is wow! That was one hell of a show, and honestly some of the best writing I have ever seen! Going into it I was just expecting some weird crap but became incredibly intrigued by the storyline and characters. I am quite confused as to why a gem like Carnivale only managed to get 2 seasons with all the other bullsh*t on TV today. This show deserves so much more praise and recognition, without a doubt the most underrated TV series I have ever seen

I very rarely ever even post on IMDB anymore since I don't have the time to watch many films, but this show impressed me so much I felt the need to come on here!

Agreed. I've never seen anything else like this and it just sucks beyond words that it never got beyond two seasons. It's such a lush, rich and atmospheric show, something you can really sink your teeth into.

This show and Deadwood should have both gotten their proper endings. Deadwood at least had a third season, but it stung just as bad when it got cancelled.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
