Sleepy Hollow

Over these past few days I completely devoured both seasons of Carnivále because it was so damn good.

I also had been watching Sleepy Hollow since the pilot aired a few weeks ago. Since I was going through Carnivále withdrawal I tried to distract myself by watching the latest episode, and it had a flash back of Lt. Abby Mill's sheriff mentor. I heard the voice before I saw the face and it suddenly felt like damn voice heroin in my ear veins.

Turns out the sheriff is Clancy Brown! It felt like an avatar-like sign or something. Especially considering Clancy's character is always shown in a flashback or prophetic dream with dramatic Carnivále-style lighting.

When I realized it I literally burst out laughing and screaming, "YES! IT'S BROTHER JUSTIN! OH MY GOD!"

It's funny that his character wants to stop the End of the World in Sleepy Hollow and he wants to bring the end of the world in Carnivále.

Also, Clancy Brown is the voice of Mr. Krabz from Spongebob. WHAT?

A bit late to reply, but I'm rewatching Carnivale again, and ironically at the same time I started rewatching Sleepy Hollow again at the same time without realizing they shared Clancy Brown. I'd realized this months ago but at the time, just wasn't in my mind. But it is ironic, his roles in the two. I'm hoping that even though he's dead on SH he'll continue to be a part of it throughout its run. And I'd love to see a Carnivale reference or two thrown in in the future.
