If only HBO was then what it is now...

If only, this magnificent show would have lasted it's intended 6 seasons.

cosign, I think if this and Deadwood came out now with GOT around I really think alot more people would have given it a chance. Such a fantastic, underrated gem of a series. I send HBO emails every year begging them to either put out another season for this or allow a graphic novel/book to come out.

Agree - the DVD sales alone would have paid back the production costs multiple times over by now. And HBO now realises this given the extensions to Treme it has provided

The current TPTB seem to be making some huge strides with giving shows a proper send off. The Comeback getting a second season after 10 years. Giving Hello Ladies a movie to end the show. It is baby steps for the future. Daniel Knauf asked HBO to give him the rights to create a graphic novel but they refused. He said if he ever makes a show with HBO again he would ask for the rights to Carnivale back to do it.

Rome, Deadwood, Carnivale, were done during some years at HBO was under bad management. Out of the 3 I only think the best shot at a series finale movie would be Deadwood. I doubt anything would be done with Rome or Carnivale at this point.
