Anyone familiar with England's geography?

I'm wondering, where is he at the beginning/end of the movie?

Is it a discernable location?

It would make a huge difference when it comes to interpreting the end, if Will was in a coastal town very near London, or in coastal town a hundred miles north of London. If he were still close, I would think that there was a possibility he would've gone back to pick up his girlfriend...

Well, I can't speak for the end - I'm watching it now, as I type - but at the beginning he's in Pembrokeshire, Wales, not England. The ferry terminal is Fishguard, and the bit (it's not a scene as such) when he gets off the phone, crosses the road to his van (which he'd previously driven the wrong way up a one-way street) and drives off (kind of going back on himself) is Haverfordwest. I know this because the phone he uses is directly opposite a flat I used to live in.

Fascinating! Thanks, that's all very interesting to know.

Google Streetview ..... That scene was filmed on the corner of Dark Street and the High Street, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
