Are there any better Christmas movies newer than this?
I'm trying to think of modern Christmas movies that are worth a darn, but can't come up with any this good that are more recent than this.

shareKrampus.
shareI can agree with that. Definitely my families new favorite.
shareWe grew up with Krampus stories and very harsh moral lessons in my home (Austrian Grandparents and parents).
Here's a creepy book to go with the Krampus style stories.

Lmao!! What a horrible book!
shareOther Christmas movies at the same level came out after this one: Fred Claus,The Polar Express
shareI did not care for polar express.
sharePolar Express was boring. The problem is that the main character didn't do anything but observe.
sharePeople weren't joking at all when they use that as the prime example of the Uncanny Valley. I just started the beginning and I had to turn it off 5 minutes in.
shareIt was bad cgi when we had much better to compare to already. I think they've learned to avoid trying for realistic humans in animation.
shareSanta’s Slay - 2005
Sint - 2010
For kids/family:
Arthur Christmas
The Peanuts Movie
The Grinch 2018
The Man Who Invented Christmas
For adults:
Daddy's Home 2
Office Christmas Party
Bad Moms Christmas
The Night Before
Harold & Kumar Christmas
I won't mention Four Christmases and Fred Claus since they came out in the same decade as Elf and I think you're looking stuff released in the last 10 years. I know people like the movie Deck the Halls too. I only saw it once and I think it was ok.
I don't think any of these movies are better than Elf. Elf is like top 5 all-time Christmas movie for me. But I did enjoy all of these movies and think they're all worth watching. Peanuts movie was really good.
Almost everyone of them. Although it's hard with "Deck the Halls". But that actually be better than this pile of shit.
I hatedddddddddddddd this film.
It sucked so bad it took me 4 years to sit back down in a theater.
The golden age of Christmas movies was from the early 1940s to early 1950s. There was a long gap, then "A Christmas Story" in 1983. "Elf" is okay, probably the best Christmas movie, so far, of the 21st century.
