I think this movie feels a lot different.. (spoilers)

..watching it again after losing your own father.

I saw it in the theatre thought it was just okay. I watched it again last night and cried. I love the ending with Edward wanting to hear the story of what he saw in the witch's eye and his son finally understanding him and telling it.

I just watched it this morning and I feel transformed by it's message. If you feel stuck in the mire, use a little magic to get yourself out is the first thing. The second was,I thought about my own late father and how we were estranged too. Looking at this film,I see that he was only human with flaws as we all have. And, really? Are there flaws or are they just what makes us up as individuals?

Both.

We tend to forget the "individuals" part when we're annoyed with the person's "flaws."

We tend to forget they're "flaws" when we have the distance/perspective to see them as "individuals."

Remembering they're both keeps you from romanticizing people in their absence, and keeps you from getting aggravated in their presence.
