were the stories real or not?

At the funeral the Giant and a couple of others in the stories showed up. So do you think they were all real?

Yes just not to the fairy tale level that Edward told them.

Yes they were real. Edwards stories were exaggerations and embellishments, but not lies.

They were real to a degree . . . embellishments like the others said. . .Edward found wonder and joy in what was really a normal life . . .

I would say most of them were embellished, but it makes you stop to think. Remember when it wasn't Edward, but Helena Bonham Carter that is telling the story? That story was a bit less fantastic, but it was still a huge undertaking that might not be easy to believe and we have to assume it is true, coming from a 3rd party.
