What was in the pool?

When will was cleaning the pool, something slightly breeches the surface of the water for a split-second. Since it's established that the fantastical parts of
Edward's stories are false, such as the giant fish, what could have been in the pool?

Well, I think it was clearly intended to be a big fish. The idea being that it wasn't necessarily there in reality, but that Will was finally coming around and starting to believe in his father a little bit, and thereby understand him a bit.
