Ventriloquist Translation?
I saw in the trivia that the ventriloquist in the Korean ampitheater is actually speaking Tagalog (Phillipino), but does anyone have a translation of the joke he tells?
shareIt's spelled with an F and have only one of each consonant - Filipino. It's from the Spanish name for the Philippines - Las Islas Filipinas, in turn named by Magellan after King Felipe II of Spain (known to the Portuguese, of which Magellan was one, as King Filipe I, hence the spelling).

Though I would counter your contention that the jokes are unscripted. I think your translation could easily be taken as a sign that the comedian is being held on-stage against his will, and as he has been up there for a while, he has run out of material.
Just a thought.
Why would the Chinese Red Army imprison a Filipino ventriloquist though? Much less actually listen to him give a performance in a language they themselves don't understand? :P
