The town of Spectre. A hidden backwoods paradise so peaceful and serene, one could shrug off the baggage of the outside world, and spend the rest of their life there, with never a care or worry, just contentment. And Edward Bloom was tempted to stay, but ultimately he left.
When he finally returned years later, the town had become an overgrown ruin, and Jenny, who was once a bright, wide-eyed child, was now a lonely, unhappy woman who had begun aging early.
So Edward bought the decaying town, and rebuilt it, restoring some life to it, but even despite his efforts, the idyllic utopia he encountered in his youth, and the cheerful little girl whom Jenny had once been, was gone forever.
