anyone else bored from this movie?

couldnt stand it
havent been able to get through the movie.
tried many occasions, cant do it.

reply

Yes. Generic fantasy smeared with sentimentality, can't stomach that kind of stuff.

reply

then you'd probably rather see some action movie with explosions or perhaps a college/highschool movie with lots of rather mature scenes to keep your eyes peeled. Meaning you're probably the kind of person I would NOT converse with.

reply

wow, you sound like one of the biggest douche's ever. so i didnt like the movie, and that makes me lesser of a person than you?
sorry to burst your "large bubble" but by responding, you ARE conversing with me.

I love threads like this, when people argue over whether or not a particular movie was good, and resort to petty insults. It makes me think of a certain Latin phrase, De gustibus non est disputandum.

Life is a disease: sexually transmitted, and invariably fatal. - Neil Gaiman

reply

I was just being honest, i personally couldnt get into it. and people are treating me like i'm a peice of crap for not liking this.

im curious, what does that latin quote mean?

reply

It means, "One must not dispute tastes."

Life is a disease: sexually transmitted, and invariably fatal. - Neil Gaiman

reply

I Like that!
Too bad the internet gives people the excuse to be an a-hole anonymously and without shame.

My advice to the OP is to not watch it then. Problem solved.

I didn't find it boring because I was connecting the stories as metaphors to the father's real life, which kept me stimulated. Plus there was enough humorous scenes and visuals to stay entertained.

Totally agree, young Edward Bloom's scenes are pretty nice.
Problem with some people, like the OP, is that they expect things to be explained to them like a mother feeds her baby child with a spoon... they aren't able to get something on their own.

"I'd say I'm sorry, but you know it just wouldn't be sincere..."

reply

I had to check your name twice because I though it was posted by me.
I know exactly what you mean.

reply

I couldnt wait for this movie to end, I was extremely bored! Day before I watched The Prestige, then watched this tripe.

reply

The film bored me to tears. I'm an extremely patient person actually so I did sit through the whole thing but never got anything out of it. And I love slow films and fantasy films, one of my favorites is Solyaris. But this...absolutely devoid of content. Tim Burton is overrated.

reply

Glad I'm not the only one who felt this way...

reply

No, you're kind of a dickbag...

reply

yup, I was also bored during the movie, so I mostly watched it by jumping 5 sec forward every now and then.......Towards the end, I was thinking "Just put the old Man out of his misery and let him die already". Which eventually his son did by adapting his father's style of telling a story
