I think that this is an amazing movie, it is an absolute masterpiece..........such a masterpiece that the fact that the 6 hour runtime makes this not as mainstream is a crime! This needs to be

a) Carefully edited in a way that it can be told in 2-2 1/2 hours and released in theaters
or
b) Made into 2 theatrical films released a few months apart.

Why re-edit perfection? I wouldn't remove a single thing from it.

Yeah but it could at least be two movies to get a more mainstream audience.

It doesn't need a more mainstream audience. It's as successful as it's ever going to be.

It would be nice if they could release it to independent cinemas intact and bill it as an all-day event.
